take a moment to blog about my new establishment

in Chicago, IL, which caused me to

become Bi-Lakely:

Meaning I am rotating steadily from Lake Travis in Austin

and the friendly confines of Nevaehland Ranch my compound

to Lake Michigan in Chicago!

Getting the best of two of my favorite cities!

It all started with a simple phone call.

A good friend of mine from LA named Lou V. who I knew through

a couple of commercial real estate deals I had done back in 2007

called me to ask me some advice on a making a short film

about some office building BS in Chicago.

Really, he just wanted some names of people who could help him put together promo

videos on Chicago real estate, so I him on a couple of dudes to

help make videos for his site www.theofficediggs.com.

Then the conversation turned to Lou V. telling me about this little idea he

had for a new coffee shop – work environment.

Immediately, I thought, I am a mobile worker!

Hell I have been considered for a long time the hardest man to get ahold

of in show business, and then the ideas just started flowin’!

I knew at that moment I had to hop on my

Honda Jet Regional

Aircraft and

hit CHI!

Then the next thing you know I am in Lincoln Park Chicagoland, IL

walking the streets with none other

than Mr. Lou V. himself!

After seeing the spot Lou had found and realizing with it’s proximity to DePaul University

and the foot traffic of  young moms, professionals and yoga chicks I was

already in love with the area!

So first thing was first I called up my lawyer and asked him

to review Lou’s subscription agreement to become a partner in the business which we would call TOPICS.

One thing had to be clear though I was not to be just a silent partner,

I wanted full involvement, but I knew this is Lou’s

baby so I wanted him to have ultimate say so in the project.

The aspect I wanted to deal more with was the design

and a few other little tid bits I will delve into in a moment.

After we got the okay I got behind this project with my wallet & expertise.

I took a trip back down to Austin where I visited some of my

favorite coffee shops to see what worked and didn’t work, while Lou toiled in a sea

of paper work and other things I probably would not want to even begin to touch!

Upon my next trip up Lou & I hired our painters, electricians and other

people to start our remodel of the building we were inheriting.

Once we had all the basic design elements like lighting and color scheme down it was time

for me to drop my big idea on Lou V.  I asked Lou, what if we made the walls of the

space a gallery and we could then use these walls to actually generate revenue?

What if using my keen eye for art and my celebrity art collection could be a way

to bring in both customers and  and art collectors and make them one in the same?

Lou V. loved the idea.

So I invited one of my favorite artists to come and show us some of his new work.

His name is Jared L. Applegate and these are the heaters he showed Lou V. all while he was in a suit!

With that we had our first Topics Gallery Artist of the Month.

Jared’s show will go up in early November with a formal opening in mid-November.

Using our unique position at Topics we plan to give young national artists a place to show

and get their names out to the greater Chicago area, which has one of the best art scenes in the USA!

The last element to our rise to opening the store was our visit to Intelligentsia to taste

and learn about coffee beans!

This was an intense beat you over the head type event that left Lou V. and I with

withdraw from massive amounts of coffee we tasted.

Lou V. and I estimate we had about 20-30 shots of espresso each!

It was brutal, but tasted oh so good!

After going through coffee boot camp we still have a ton of work to do,

but we aim to be open by November 1st, 2011.

In Paris, FR where all sorts of dope shit goes down on the Reg!

My trip was much needed as I have been taking some personal attacks and threats

Via the web and the normal stalker/jealousy crew, and so I threw

This little 7 day side jaunt in for good measure to get away from

The bullshit and the 105 degree heat in ATX for a while!

When I arrived on the scene in Paris 10yrs after

I lived there I did not realize it was the

Fete de Musica (Festival of Music).

The town was alive and fucking ridiculous!

I hit the streets and enjoyed a bottle of cheap wine before exploring the scene.

The jetlag was pretty bad so I hit the streets and then hit the bed!

The next day I met this guy Hanife from Winnipeg, Canada.

This crazy fucker and I hit it off from the get go when I saw he had

a nice digital camera.  Somehow the bastard found out I was

pretty handy with these bad boys and we decided to go on a

photo tour of the city, which turned out to

be pretty fucking phenomenal!

We decided to hit up La Grande Arch.

Running into Hanife was great because he forced me to not be lazy and he

also forced me to take boring ass photos of architecture like a

true tourist again!  Have to admit being jacked on

cough syrup and wine didn’t hurt things on

our walk through the city of lights at dusk.

After that the two of us hoes got busy and got lost in the city!

We traversed the whole damn place!

We walked all the way to Champs Elysees

Then to the Eiffel.

By the end of the night shit was redics! and we got crazy ass lost!

We walked around and tried to steal bicycles the

rest of the night until about 4am when we decided to finally call it quits so we could wake and shake

the next day.

I was still feeling a little under the weather, but we decided to take trip

to the cemetery where Jim and Oscar are buried.

I have to say though if Jim and Oscar Wilde were having a gravesite pissing

contest Oscar would win that shit hands down!

And Oscar is getting way more pussy even if it might be man-gina post humanas!

That night was a night I had to tell Hanife to scram because I was having dinner

with a dear friend and his wife Mr. Willie Sturm & his beautiful wife Maria!

Little did I know this would be a night that would change the whole

course of the trip and I would meet a fabulous new guide to the city

and the women of France Mr. Frankie P!

Dinner with Willie is always fabulous, but I wasn’t totally prepared for his new

apartment.  You see Willie is Southern Europe’s lead salesman for Honda Jet.

He sold me one last year in fact, but things are apparently going well for the guy from his view of

Les Invalides!

After a quick J to the grocery store Willie prepared a lucky ducky for Maria, myself

and a gentleman with a Brooklyn accent and no vocabulary aka Mr. Fanky-P!

So somehow I missed getting photos of the dinner… Wonder how that could’ve happened?

But after dinner was when I really hit it of with the now mysterious

Franky-P.  After a few of Willie’s Gin and Tonics

Mr. Franky P promised to take me out for a night on the town Friday.

He guaranteed that we would be going to the most exclusive party in all of Paris,

and he came through!

Franky-P took me to the Sweddish Summer Party located in a forest in the nicest part of Paris.

The party starts with a catered diner and lots of beautiful girls.

Then pretty much immediately it goes into bottle service.

So I had a ton of photos but this was the moment that would change the entire trip….

After a few bottles of this shit I lost my point and shoot camera, an iPhone and

worst of all FRANKY-P!  So if you are in Paris and have the camera

send the fucking photos!  I want them they were sick!

Anyway, this is what the party turned into-

The next day I woke up phoneless, Franky-P-less and Point and Shoot Cameraless!

Instead of slowing it down though I went from my hotel to find

Hanife.  Hanife was hammered at the Peace & Love Hostel!

He was being a rude little bastard to tell you the truth to this lovely girl from the UK

named Jess.  (We later forgave Hanife after all if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t have met Jess!)

Jess and I decided to go on our own excursion and lost Hanife, who we’d meet up with another day.

The next morning Jess and I took a walk to Luxemburg Park where i used to live after we recovered from

another hangover all day watching movies and strange French TV!

What a beautiful day! We took a nice stroll around the park and grabbed some gelato!

We hiked around the town for a few hours and this was my last night in Paris so we went back

to Peace & Love where we were re-united with Hanife!  The man the myth the Winnipeggian!!!!!

Once we got to Peace & Love Jess and I decided to throw a little Cain Sticker Party

before I would return to my hotel and say Peace to Paris

and head to England for Theo and Alexa’s wedding!

After these photos were taken I grabbed a cab and hoofed it back to the hotel.

That next morning the hommie Willie took me for breakfast and then to the airport!

on during the week and what led up to their insane descision

to try and take on tha kid!

What I thought was one of the most visually appealing parts of

the entire SXSW was this Pie fight which is now part of the Guiness World Book of Records

as the “World’s Largest Pie Fight”.

Here are some photos of the scene as it unfolded:

During the pie fight I even ran into my hommie Dave Rodriguez of the Austin

punk group The Krum Bums who was gathering signatures for his

attempt at running for mayor of Austin.

These were part of the beginning of my beef with SXSW when I was told that they thought

that these were images that were “boring and could happen anywhere”!

BITCH SO CAN MOTHER FUCKIN’ LIVE MUSIC!

I’m out here trying to lace you’re ass with some variety and you’re gonna

give me that bullshit?!?!?  I’m a celebrity bitches and therefore I had to go diva on their asses!

This was the point where I decided to go toad on the execs at SXSW

and I decided to throw a party that was all Austin and all Weird.

I went to my friend JP’s house and threw the type of party that could only be

found in a city like ours.  To tell the story of the ATX

through new and old friends one and all.

I’ll let the photos tell the story, but you can bet from the guy in his skivies this

was a party that Hunter S. Thompson would’ve been proud of!

After the party at Mr. Parks’ house we continued the rager by venturing to my crib

and this was the insane outfit Mr. Mitchell found in my closet!

Pretty much sums up the night that ended in a bad bad body dump!

When we slept this shit off we finally agreed that the rest of the festival

I would stick to what I know best and I would shoot hot chicks

who were performing at SXSW.

Although I got a lot of shots here are a few of my favorites:

Apparently, the people at SXSW weren’t to happy with my new direction and this was when they

decided to call my lawyers and threaten me with a law suit after viewing the photos.

They claim that I was hired on as a celebrity photographer to shoot

music and the festival from and I quote “the point of view of

SXSW and this was the view that SXSW would

like portrayed to its sponsors and friends.”

First of all I didn’t sign anything stating that I wouldn’t shoot the hot chics of the ATX!

I would never sign anything like that!

Second of all I was doing their cheap asses a favor by even agreeing to this BS!

Luckily, I had a meeting during SXSW with my lawyer Ms. Whitney Day

and her entire legal team.

Whitney Day J.D. and her team when I took them out on a victory lap around town!!

Whit-Daddy is one of the toughest lawyers in town,

even tougher than Funk and associates, and she just made a couple of phone calls

and these ass clowns were off my back.  After all,

they did steal some of my materials including a 20GB flash card, which was never returned.

So enough about SXSW, even though it was shitty at times I still managed to have a great time

with or without drama.  I always do!

Today at 1oAM I am heading to NYC so get ready East Coast to feel the Cain

at LCD Soundsystem’s Last Show Ever @ Madison Square Garden!

I guess it is only fitting the first blog I write after relocating

from my permanent residence at Nevaehland Ranch

is about a little event I have been screwing up

royally since I was 16 and it is called SXSW

(SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST)

Prior to this particular SXSW I didn’t keep a luxury condo in

Austin Proper so I had to have my driver cart my ass home every morning after doing the

walk of shame through some hotel lobby, but things have changed and I have started DO’IN BIG!

The Thursday before SXSW my Homeboy Sean’er Dawner Brennan of the Chicago band SKYBOX called me

and said, “Cain!  Brotha!  Would you mind if this really cute girl from LA stayed at your crib in ATX for SXSW this week?”

I am sure you will all be surprised but my answer was of course WHY THE HELL NOT?!?!

So I introduce to you Ms. Jenny Jones.

The kicker was I had no idea about the rad project she was in the ATX to promote.

Jenny works for one of the most awesome projects that I have seen or heard of in a long time called

FALLING WHISTLES

You see FALLING WHISTLES is a non-profit organization set up to campaign for peace in

the Congo.  They ask you to wear your protest and be a whistle blower for PEACE.

These awesome pieces are being worn by celebs all over the place from Jay-Z

to the Bravery and now yours truly!  So go contribute and be fashionable

while making a difference!

The other thing that I didn’t know about Ms. Jones was she was bringing someone

who I actually knew from a time before time.  If you have a copy of the imfamous U! Magazine

then you may have asked who’s house was that Cain was jumping off of i the index?

Well this was the mean crew I was to roll with the rest of the week kids!

But back the story of SXSW.  The week started with SXSW Interactive Festival

and I was hired on as a guest celebrity photographer for the entire  event

due to my love of the craft of photography, my latest hobby.

I thought when i signed on these jokers knew who they

were dealing with, but I’ll get back to that tirade

later in the story for now I’ll start with

the first party I shot it was the Gowalla iPhone App Party.

Gowalla is an app that is sort of like FourSquare, but after the interactive segment of SXSW

I have noticed there are probably like 1,000 apps just like this so who gives a fuck you’re gonna download

the app go the party and erase it a day later anyway.  So whoever is throwing the best party is where you are going!

Let me tell you the Gowalla cats did have their heads straight and their ducks in a row when it comes

to throwing a fabo party!  The DJ set was provided by none other than my home boys from Chi-Town

DJ’s J2K and Autobot together forming Flosstradamus

So all this went down at The Belmont and these cats were just the openers!

The main event of the night was MATT & KIM of Brooklyn, NY!

So let me just say I knew who MATT & KIM were, but until you see them live  you just really don’t know!

They are the Effing Shit!!!!!!!!!!  Especially at a small little venue like The Belmont!

Also, I have to say I really think these are some of the best photos I’ve shot.

Since the last blog I have already partied in NYC again,

then in ATX and Houston, and more than I should admit in

the ATX again and that 74!

I am not sure if this is gonna be a 1 or 2 or 3 part blog

(I think it may have to be parted out in hindsight!)

right now so I am just gonna get into it with NYC and why I had to go back.

My good friend Jeremy Lipkin invited me to come up for the

Musuem of Art and Design’s Metal Ball, and how

could I say no to that?

However, I got there a day early and had time to have dinner in Bushwick with some friends

at a delicious pizza place called Roberta’s….

Later that night I went and did a little sticker bombing around the subway!

Even Patti LaBelle was getting festive with it!

That night my friend Ryan and I ended up at some Polish nightclub in Greenpoint

that I think was called club Euro….. But I don’t really remember that

much about it, except that it probably wasn’t really all that safe.

We woke up the next morning to snag some clothes at Barney’s and do some shopping with Jeremy.

Then it was time to hit The Metal Ball that night!

After the party we had an after party of course, and the next day was full of hangovers

that were surprisingly not as bad as I thought they would be.

Other guests at the party were Moby, Michael Stype,

Joe Manganielo, Hannelore Knuts,

and many more!

The next day we shopped and shopped and then went to a sushi bar

to meet one of my favorite peeps in the

world!  Miss Jacq English for sushi!

The place we stopped into was super bitchy!  In fact probably

the bitchiest sushi restaurant in NYC.

Masa.

But it was worth the celebratory meal because Jacq and I go way back

to my days in the ATL!  We were roomies back then when I was

but a youngster and we use to eat at M.F. Sushi!  Remember that!

At Masa we got to try truffle sushi and even a piece of 24kg sushi!

I got a little drunk…. That is all!

The next day I woke up and decided we should have

one last chill day to hit some galleries and take the city on at a slower

pace because I had to be in Austin the next day for the Austin Film Festival!

But at the end of the night thanks to Ryan and my great friend Ali we had this view of 30 Rock!

the San Francisco blog……

First of all you can check my Facebook if you wanna track what the

hell went down in SF, because after days of slamming Gordon’s Citrus Vodka

and having my Sony Cybershot stolen and some bar called Blue Light I really couldn’t tell you myself!

Yet there is quite a bit of evidence on the Facebook so do your research.

The one thing I will give you about SF aside from what will be in my memoirs someday is this

email from my gracious host in SF.

(Not saying this was me, but the level of debauchery was very very high!)

Aside from this and the camera “misplacement”  I will say that San Fran is

still and always will be one of my favorite cities!  The weather, the scenery,

the food!  It really has it all, except one thing.

FASHION WEEK NYC BABY!

So on Monday after a crazy week with the friends who got me

kicked out of the University of Colorado at Boulder my Freshman year in SF

I hopped on a plane to NYC for Fashion Week to see some

of my designer friends, there lines, and of course to party it up coast to coast style!

The first stop of the week was my friend’s party/spring sneak peak

of Alexandra Cassaniti’s surf line at the Mollusk Surf Shop in Williamsburg sponsored by Foam Magazine

This was a super dope party with tons of super hot

surfer chicks and of course one of my favorite things of all free Tecate!

The party was ill as hell and had a bunch of great tunes by both DJ’s and live bands.

The highlight though had to be seeing my friend Steph hard at work!

Just when I thought the night was done at around midnight my homeboy

from SUGARCRAFT Shahed

gave me the in on a party with

tons of ladies and free vodka at Happy Endings NYC

so my friend Eric and I headed over  with a quickness!

When we arrived we were elated to find that this place was in fact an old massage parlour

turned night club!  It has 2 levels of all you can drink free vodka every Tuesday!

So if you are in the Chinatown area get out there and you may just find a couple of hotties like

I did on the dancefloor!

And one more for my girl Adriana-

After Happy Endings Eric and I decided it was almost time to call it a night,

but first we needed to score a slice at the hottest new

spot in the city Artichoke.

We did that then hopped back in our town car and headed back to get ready for the next day.

That next day I was invited to hang out with my friend and Fashonist

Mr. Ryan Wanta whom I met when I lived in Paris back in the days

when I used to really cause trouble!

We began the day with a brunch in Williamsburg at Egg.

We were met by one of our other Parisian friends Amy Carrigan who is now living in the

same area and is a puppeteer!

The food and company at Egg were def excellent!

Sadly due to ridiculous events, which may or may not be covered in this blog later

we were unable to meet back up with Amy later in this trip.

(Sorry Amy!  I partially blame that stupid tornado!)

After Egg Ryan and I went on a mad run through as many galleries as we could stand!

This was a pretty tiresome day and at the end of it all Ryan and I could do was dial in

a reservation after getting some killer city views from a friend’s penthouse in Madison Square.

Tonight was a little bit of a quieter night after walking blocks and blocks of

galleries it was time to “take a chill” and watch

Exit Through the Gift Shop.

A movie I highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

But I was exhausted from all the craziness of the last two weeks and had

dinner plans with someone the next night who I hadn’t seen in nearly 10 years!

So after a lazy day all Wednesday it was time for Ryan and I to get dressed to

the nines and meet our beautiful friend Alex, who I hadn’t seen in 10 years,

for dinner at David Burke Townhouse.

A posh little restaurant that was no doubt akin to those we were used to

from our days living in Paris!

This dinner was maybe, just maybe, the highlight of the entire 2 week

trip for me!  Because kids you don’t understand how good

it is to have great wine with amazing old friends!

I think though the food was great the best part of the meal was

dessert!

These deserts were divine!  and just the right proportions!

I hate feeling like I am forced to gorge!  Like Kate Moss once said,

“Nothing tastes better than skinny feels!”

So after eating a few of the desert items we decided to

catch a cab to Automatic Slims.

When we arrived to Automatic Slims a small little bar we were greeted by a couple of other friends

from the past:

It was so good to have even more friends sippin’ even more libations together!

After a few drinks Mr. Wanta decided it was photo shoot time with Cain

and the ladies!

First one with Angelica-

Then Ryan took up where he left of in Paris with his

photo vision of Alex and me!

Oh to be so young again!

This night was just too much fun!  After the next bar I don’t remember much, except

the TTX74 was represented to the fullest!  I ran into my friend

and my Tax Lawyer Chris Fox all the way up in NYC!

I really don’t remember much after this because we were taking Jameson shots

to the face for a good hour together!

But it is always good to see a Taylorite on “foreign” soil!

I did however make it up for a late brunch and met

Jeremy L. along with Ryan and Eric again.

This day I call the shit show! LOL

We began with brunch at a place of little consequence then

moved on to shop at Atelier NY.

Then we headed to the Mercer Hotel for Champagne and Margs.

The rest of the day went from here, the weather out was cray cray, and there was a tornado.

We thought we might see the infamous Mr. Briefcase, but it didn’t happen,

the day was just too hectic for plans and before you knew it

we had blown all plans all together accidentally

when Ryan and I decided it was time to

go do a wardrobe change!

We were stuck in the tunnel and time ran out

and that is when it struck me it was bed time, because I needed to return

the next day to Texas to be the best man in Mr. Dan Meehan’s wedding.

I will get into his wedding in another blog, but I will say two things about it:

1.) Most fun wedding dancing and after party and well wedding ever!

2.) I ended up in the hospital the day after the wedding!  Always good!

Anyway, to NYC!  You never cease to amaze me!  What a town you are!

I may have to take up a more permanent place there!

I’m Back in the New York Groove!

and bloganometry up your way, but that is because since

I got back from Hawai’i there has been a ton of

stuff going on here in the ATX.

I will be filling you in with an ATX exclusive blog so

you can see exactly what all I have been up to on the home turf soon,

but for right now I want you to sit back and relax and think about

a relaxing breeze, palm trees, delicious food, and chill vibes.

Because this blog takes place on the Big Island!

Upon arrival I knew this was going to be quite a

different vibe from Key West, and I was

absolutely correct.

Although, I stayed at probably the poshest place on the island

the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel,

which was originally built by the Rockafeller Fam and has one of the best beaches on the

island, my first night I had dinner plans at the Four Seasons Beach Tree Restaurant,

where I saw my hommie Steve Carell.

The true reason for my trip was my friends Gabe and Christine’s wedding

and we had the rehearsal dinner there.

I met Gabe and Christine on my trip a year earlier in Italy, where

the two fell in love.  Gabe being from Hawai’i

and that being another piece of the puzzle of their story made

it the perfect location for the wedding.

Let me say this was a really beautiful wedding!  I have pics,

but I am gonna keep that to myself for privacy reasons for the lovely couple.

Well, I might have one just so you can see the location on

the 3rd hole of the Mauna Kea golf course.

After the wedding and reception were over we spent the next day on the

island with Gabe, Christine, and their daughter swimming until

finally it was time for the Mauna Kea’s famous Clambake!

Later that night everyone else left, but I stayed on for a few extra days to chill and tour the island.

The first day I rented a convertible and drove around the south side of the island

all the way to Hilo, which I might say took all day!!!!

But first I saw my first Hawaiian black beaches on

the way to the volcano!

After heading to Hilo and all the way back to the

Mauna Kea Beach Hotel I needed a a rest because I had a Jeep reserved

for the next day to take a ride down a steep hill and do some off roading in

Waipi’o Valley.

This place was amazing and totally secluded.  It is where the river meets the ocean and

is truly magical!  I did some hiking and tried a Portuguese doughnut filled with

guava after my dip in the deep blue ocean.

The next two days were filled with me just chilling and swimming at

the Mauna Kea Resort.

I had such a crazy time in Key West that I just needed to rest and suck down

some delicious lava flows oceanside!

That was pretty much it for my Hawai’i trip,

but it was a much needed escape after the wreck and everything else that had happened

in Key West.

Lots of new crazy stuff has happened since so keep your eyes open!

This one has been a week or two in the making and I know I have been

neglecting the fans since the trip to China at least blog-wise although I have kept

an all but low profile on Twitter and Facebook.

But enough about that I am gonna fill you all in right now on what has

been going on since I left the Orient!

First though I wanna lead into this with a little quote from one

of my favorite movies of all time Cocktails staring

our boy Tom Cruise back in the day!

But the quote is actually from the other star of the movie

the character  Jeff Coglin,

“Collin’s law never tell stories about a woman,

no matter how far away she is from you she’ll hear about it.”

There are a couple of reasons I am starting this blog like that,

but I am only gonna get into one.

Mr. Dan Meehan long time friend of mine is getting hitched in September

and I am the best man

(of course that is just an opinion and probably

not an educated one)!

So for his bachelor party we decided to do it up

correct and threw him a bash to remember in Ft. Lauderdale and Key West!

Or as I now call it Key Vegas/ Key Hell!

The drinking and shenanigans began in the Austin airport with myself, Dan, and

Mr. Caleb Kilborn.

This equation always equals trouble…. Always….

But this was just the beginning once on board we shortly

hit the Gulf of Mexico and were able to spot BP’s oil spill.

Being 3^rd Coast born and raised this had an ill effect on Caleb and I especially.

But we soon found refuge under the wings of a Wild Turkey!

or two….. or well too many…

These really got us out of our funk and when we hit land we were ready to get into some real trouble!

Later that night we would be blessed with the arrival of George and Casey from

New York and New Jersey and the final arrival was that of

Matt Gawronski of Minneapolis (gotta get back up there soon!)

The next morning I had the pleasure of driving these hooligans down to Key Hell in an aptly named “Bang Van” or a 12 passenger van as to be inconspicuous.

All this after we all shot gunned beers in the parking lot of Wal-Mart!

(I mean they all did that….)

On arrival Key West looked pretty legit ,

We took refuge at the Key West Hyatt and started slurping down libations as soon as we walked in.

They did have some of the best pina coladas I have ever had!

Little did we know this town was basically a cleaned up version

of NOLA also it was the Hemmingway Festival

so shit was off the chizzzain!

After drinking until like 4am (yeah the bars were open that late! YIIIIIKKKKEEESS!)

we had an 8am deep sea fishing trip scheduled.

Yeah and somehow we made it…

Even with this feat the captain of the boat was not amused.

Let me rephrase that and get on my soap-box a minute.

The captain of our boat just so happened to be the hugest duesche bag and

dick in Key Bumpsky land!

His name is Dan… He looks like the love child of Captain Ron.

If he is the captain of your boat run and reschedule or just don’t tip the bastard at

the end of the trip.

A prime example of this bitch not doing his job and sitting on his ass….

Okay so enough of the calling him out, and now on to the rest of the story!

Aside from Captain Kill joy we rocked out there!

The rest of this day was pretty chill just played some wiffleball

on the beach and sipped some libations before

heading to the bars and then heading in for

an early night at about midnight.

We had something super important to do the next morning.

Something that I am still suffering the consequences of right now.

We rented scooters to tour the island on!

After riding the scooter for about 2-3 hours I suppose I became a little

over confident with my skills on this hog.

I have to say seeing an athletic guy like Matt Gawronski

up ahead of me gave me a false sense that I could handle the beast as he did!

Long story short what happen was as we took a detour

into a newly paved hotel parking lot I saw some of my fellow riders speed up

and hit the speed bumps while hitting the gas and it looked like a hell of

a lot of fun!  Unfortunately, I decided to to this on the last speed bump

in the parking lot.  So as I was hitting the gas

everyone ahead of me was hitting the brakes!

I too had to hit the brakes, but I hit only the

front brake causing my front wheel to flip around

and throw my stead to the pavement with my leg under it!

The two of us slid along on the ground a few feet causing the leg injury I now have!

Leg a couple days later...

After the spill we decided it was best to go back to the Hyatt and change my clothes

and dress my wounds.  In the photo’s included it may look a little weak

sauce but trust me my friends this was painful painful painful.

The only thing that could make me feel better was

chocolate dipped key lime pie on a stick oh

and 302’s (151 + 151).

Just before George and G-$ had to leave! Kilborn, Nevaeh, and Gawronski!

After the accident all I wanted to do was turn in the bike and hopefully

not get caught for scrapping the hell out of the bike.

When we turned them in I think that the

bike shop attendant’s herbal hobbies

must have helped me to get away with dragging one of his sweet hogs

across the Key West pavement that day!

After that we went hard early that night and it was probably the only way

I could sleep through the pain!

We even ran into the bike shop kid and he thought he recognized us….

but we swiftly replied we weren’t who he thought we were!

The next day all that was on our minds was evacuating the island and food!

So we packed up the bang van and drove back to Ft. Lauderdale…

We had one last night to party, and hence we tried to,

but one thing I can say about Ft. Lauderdale the

service is so bad that they make it

pretty hard to party.

The next day I had a flight to catch to yet another paradise

Hawai’i’s Big Island!

This trip would prove to be a bit more relaxing!

And boy was that needed!

I had a great time with our “Wolf Pack” on Key West,

Casey Masterson, Matt Gawronski, George Ackerman, Dan Meehan, Caleb Kilborn, and myself.

but I can’t say that I wanna relive it anytime soon!

It has taken a ride down the Yangtze River, a couple days in

Shanghai, and about 25hrs in airports and planes plus

a bunch of naps to get this blog up!

So here we go!

The first day of my cruise down the

river began in the city of Chingqing.

A bustling Chinese city I had never even heard of with a population

of 38 million!!!!!!  How the Hell did this little town

miss my radar all this time?

Aside from 38 million homosapiens living in the area

this city also boasts one of the best  Zoo’s in

all of China with the most of these guys in it in all of Asia!

After the pandas and the zoo I went down the road to

ANOTHER Pagoda!  While there I ran into

some of my Chinese high school fans

who had just taken their exams!

After chatting with these guys for a minute it was time to hit the cruise

on the Yangtze River on the Century Sun cruise ship!

The boat was just the relaxation station that I needed after my

visit to Tibet and providing the tunes on the ship

were these Eastern Europeans:

These cats were pumping out the bombest tunes from

Garth to Willie while we were rocking down the locks of the

3 Gorges Damn!

After dancing my face off for a bit it was time to drop more than 500 feet

and go through the lock a process that takes a full 5 hours or more!

After retiring to my cabin and letting the captain do his job

and get us all through the locks and pop, lock, and

dropping the the boat all night I woke up

with a tiny hangover to go and meet

the kids at a school that were

putting on a little show

me and my friends on the boat!

After a really great day with the children in a small country side school

it was time for a celebration with my favorite tour guide Iowa.

It just so happened to be his birthday and so we decided

to have a little party for our wonderful guide!

All in all, the celebration was a hit with Iowa,

and I think that everyone cried just a little!

Very soon we would be hitting up Shanghai

and the trip to China would be over in just a few short days for me.

Shanghai was the dopest city possibly on the whole Asia tour!

While walking around the city of Shanghai I was a little sad because I

had met some great people and yes a ride or die chick!

My time in the city and the Far East was about to be over,

and I didn’t want it to be.

But you know such is life, I wanna say I will be back in Shanghai!

China is history folks, but I wanna say that China is the Bongest!

Def gonna miss the kids in China, but I have a big issue

I had to get back to in America the BP oil spill.

That’s right in late July if you’re in Miami

and Key West get ready and check me out!

I am going to be in the big bad FLA

seeing what the damage is down there

and seeing if Kevin Costner’s oil

vacuum is a reality.

Until then

we got a big 4th coming up and some

other bomb ass trips in store so get ready to play this summer!

Upon my arrival in Tibet I was greeted by Pachang who would

be my local guide throughout my stay in Lhasa

the city known as “the roof of the world”.

He came around bearing silk scarves a traditional welcome in Tibet,

and when he brought my scarf to me he said,

“Welcome to Nirvana”.

I knew that Tibet was going to be a special place, but it didn’t

hit me until I landed and saw the place in all its glory

just how sick it was really going to be!

Now maybe it was the altitude or something else,

but some serious spiritual shit was going on in my head as I cruised

on the bus to Lhasa.

On the real though this place is so high that I had a hard time coping for a bit

lack of oxygen to the dome I suppose, but in its sheer

beauty I got all teary eyed.

Once I got into Lhasa I was pretty F’ed in regard to the altitude, but

I had to get some grub and I got Pachang to take me to his

favorite local restaurant to get my first shot at Yak!

Now normally I try to stay away from red meat, but you know

when in Tibet do as the Tibetans do!

Although, it is all a blur now I think that I was pretty happy with

the Yak!

After a quick lunch it was time for me to go see the Dalai Lama’s

palace the Potala Palace, which is located at the top

of a hill in all its majesty.

The palace was super dope, but the climb up was intense!

I workout a lot, but damn!  Not gonna

lie I almost passed out a couple

of times in the

high altitude.

So note to all you out there you

should be sure you take a rest for a day or two before

getting ballsy in Tibet!

After a cold beer from “The Roof of the World”

I had to hit the bed because day 2 in Tibet was full of wisdom.

The next day I went to meet the Tibetan Monks.

When I arrived on the scene the monks

were involved in one of there

regular activities

group debate

in fact you could hear them

yelling and slapping hands from quite a distance.

By slapping the back of their hands the monks were scolding the monk they were

debating with for being wrong.  A question they would typically ask would be,

“what is big?”  The correct answer would be, “big is relative”.

I was able to chat with one of the monks after debates and meditation.  From the

look

of his smile I think that my Karma is pretty good!

During my time with the monks they gave me a special necklace

that was formed by a rock called an agate turning

in the sand for years and years and well

years! The designs on the rock are all

natural and said to have meanings.

The rock that they

gave me

is said to increase

celebrity and bring more riches to the

person wearing it!

I liked their choice!

After blessing the stone the monks told me that I would have to give a

substantial contribution to them in order for their blessing to work!

So I guess that Buddhist monks have the same

mantra as me…

Gotta spend money to make money!

Before leaving Tibet the next morning I had one last stop to make.

A local family had asked me to join them for Yak butter tea and some traditional

barely beer.  Since they were fans how could I refuse?

The yak butter tea was actually really dank!  And the barely wine was super

strong! Always a bonus!  The day seemed really perfect and the

next day I had to be out of Tibet early, because my special

Visa into Nirvana was running out!

Tibet was a magical place and I am so happy that I

was able to see what it was all about.

Hopefully, the happy monks will remember me in their chants

and I hope that money thing will be on their minds for

sure!

I’ll try to get some new blogs up ASAP, but I am on a luxury liner on the Yangtze.

It is baller, but the internet ain’t all that!

About 5 days until I get nasty in Shanghai though so keep your heads knoddin’ !
