Telluride Part 1
Telluride is a place that is so big and so bad ass that it’s gonna take a
couple of blogs to cover.
So just so you know why I went out to ole’ T-Ride
because in the words of  Bruno
(well sort of)
“Oprah had one, Tom and Katie have one, and
now I have a home in Telluride.”
I even got a local Colorado t-shirt with the house!
I know that most celebs buy their mountain digs for
the winter ski and snowboard sports,
but I love the summers in good ole’ Ballerado just as much as the winters!
I am a Texas boy at heart, but damn the summers suck,
and 75 degree days are so much better!
I decided to stay at the fabulous Mountain Lodge in
Mountain Village halfway up the
Telluride ski mountain at 9,500 feet high.
Poolside at the Mountain Lodge Hotel, in Mountain Village, up the hill from Telluride.
Another great thing about that elevation is how
it amplifies the effects of alcohol!

While drinking down in the town of Telluride I realized
at midnight the gondola stops running up
where I was laying my head in Mountain Village.
I was about to call my limo, but Officer Smith of the Telluride P.D.

recognized me and offered me and my friends a complementary
ride in his Telluride P.D. Chevy Tahoe Cruiser!
The best time I've ever had in the back of a cop car!
I guess with the property taxes I’ll be paying now,
He sort of works for me!
It’s always good to have the boys in blue on your side
especially when you’re me!
