Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast
I flew into Sorrento, Italy and as usual the place just wowed me!
It’s a beautiful spot to play, shop, and eat and it is small
so it kind of reminds me of an Italian version of
my hometown outside of Austin.
Well, with better views!
I decided to stay at the finest hotel in Sorrento,
the best views, the central location, and of course it is the site
of fellow star Sofia Loren’s movie:
Qualcosa di Biondo
A movie she filmed here in 1984.
What can I say? I love classics with hot cougar Italiano women!

Chillin' with the view from the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria behind me in Sorrento.

Sofia hitting up my spot on the porch, she didn't get the hot lime green joint like I did from Sugar Craft in the previous pic, thanks Shahed!
The first couple of days I just do my usual,
hit the spa, get a massage, and try to take in the local food
and people so I can decompress and take it all in.
Unfortunately, I ran into my favorite bartender in the hotel bar
GENNARO!

Don't let his good looks and fancy outfit fool you this Italian slangs mad drinks that leave you hurtin' in the morning!
when I was just trying to have a night cap ,he and an Englishman
got me totally pissed the night before I had to head to Amalfi,
and if you been there it is a winding road that will make
anybody sick to there stomach’s let alone
a guy with a stomach full of Johnny Walker Blue Label Manhattan’s!
But I had to head to Amalfi and some other little towns
sick or not! I was doing a little stand up in Ravello just up the coast from Amalfi.
But first I had to stop at a must for anybody who can afford them at CAMO.

The famous, yet humble, cameo factory at Ravello.
The family who owns this cameo store/factory has been there for centuries,
everybody who’s anybody and stops in Ravello has to get one.
Hillary and Chelsea Clinton to Susan Surandon to

Nicholas Cage to even my homeboy Data from Star Trek

If the warp drive fails to activate, the results could be... unfortunate.
Have cameos from Giorgio!
Of course now so do I! Beautiful carved by hand from the sea coral found
around Ravello.

After making a purchase from Giorgio!
After that it was off to the Ravello Music Festival Site,
where I was doin’ a little stand up to inform
the people of this coastal town about how to prevent the H1N1 Flu.
The veiw from the stage is just spectacular!

A little pre-show warm up on stage! Had to sweat out all those Manhattans!
By the way guys and groupies I am sorry that I can’t blog as much as I want to,
but I will blog at least once for each city I am in while I tour Italy.
I am in Rome now and just had a beer at he Vatican!
Doing a private tour of the Sistine Chapel in a few,
and I may even confess!
Anyway, stay tuned and Stay Thirsty my Friends!
Looks awesome man! Spain and Italy look off the chain. Hope your having a good time. See you in a week and a half bra.
