End of the TX/NM H1N1 Tour. Back in Lubbock, Unfortunately, a Case of the Flu has been Found Here in Lubbock Too! And We are Far From Wet!

Dear Fans,

I had a wonderful trip around NM and then TX,

and I am so happy I could share the

journey with you!

Unfortunately, my journey was cut to an early ending in Ft. Worth.

My visit to the greater Ft. Worth area was a good one,

but something marred this experience.

H1N1 was found in Lubbock, so I rushed back and was forced to miss my

appointments in Abilene.

Sorry, Abilene, I’ll get back to you.

Have to take care of home first.

The city of Lubbock is the testing center for 41 West Texas counties. The city’s written statement says,  “One case of H1N1 flu has been confirmed in Lubbock County.  The case is a small child, less than five years old (not school age).  A healthcare professional has notified the family of the diagnosis of H1N1 Flu.  The child has been treated with Tamiflu and is recovering at home.

Now that I am back I am regrouping so I’ll let you know what

I have in store for the Lubbock area so stay tuned!

I promised you guys to let you in on some of

my dietary secrets, and I am happy to report

they have changed!

Also, stay tuned I will be chillin’ in Lubbock for a little bit,

but I am still doing the West Coast tour especially

seeing how this scary disease is traveling.

I can’t concentrate all my energy on making Lubbock Wet

right now due to the spread of the flu, and

the owners of the strip know this.

Established Lubbock alcohol retailers on Monday sued the city of Lubbock, seeking to block any new off-premises stores from obtaining liquor licenses.

“As far as we’re concerned, the citizens are going to decide whether we have alcohol sales in Lubbock,” Brady said. “But if we do choose to have those sales, my clients want to make sure that the rules are fair and that they comply with state law.”
